Shropshire Council, Targeted Early Help are recruiting to a Family Support Worker post in South Shropshire, to be based in the Ludlow Hub Locality.
Role Overview
The role of the Family Support Worker is to support families at all stages. The successful candidate will work directly with children, young people and their families to promote, strengthen and develop the potential of parents/carers and their children to manage the challenges they face. This will include direct work through centre‑based interventions, community engagement and group work, school and home visits, as well as requesting support from more specialist services where needed.
They will manage a caseload and take the role of Lead Professional, assessing the needs of families and creating and coordinating a multi‑agency Family Plan of support to ensure that families, some with complex needs, get the right service at the right time.
