Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council invites applications for the Learning Support Practitioner 3 role at Temple Meadow Primary School. The school values 'belong, nurture, thrive, discover and grow' and is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Support children with their learning, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to deliver tailored support, including working with children who have additional needs.
  • Deliver high quality phonic sessions using Little Wandle.
  • Provide high quality support to learning and achievement for vulnerable groups, initially within Key Stage 2.

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant NVQ3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior paid experience in a primary school setting as part of the Learning Support team.
  • Experience working in an urban primary school environment such as Sandwell.
  • Training in First Aid, Little Wandle, WellComm, Food Hygiene; a forest school leader qualification is advantageous.
  • Appropriately literate and numerate.

Working hours & contract

  • Full time (32.5 hours) 8:45‐3:45pm each day, standard term time plus two days. This is a permanent post.

Salary

  • Band D, 9‐17 FTE: £27,254 – £31,022 (Actual pro‐rata salary £21,085 – £24,104).
