Shenstone Lodge School (SIPS) is a successful split site school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. The Shenstone Lodge site is situated on the outskirts of Shenstone village, educating and supporting KS1 and KS2 students. The school joined The Manor Hall Academy Trust on 1st July 2020. To support an exciting period of growth, we are looking to appoint two Wellbeing Support Officers – one permanent and one fixed‑term – to support the educational, behavioural and pastoral needs of our Primary age students in an environment that is both stimulating and supportive.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a team player while using initiative to manage students who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Remain calm under pressure, be resilient, confident and curriculum aware.
  • Manage and support primary students proactively and, when necessary, reactively.
  • De‑escalate volatile and violent situations to maximise students’ engagement in learning.

Qualifications:

  • Experience of successfully managing and supporting primary students.
  • Ability to use initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Calm under pressure, resilient, confident and curriculum aware.
