SEN Teaching Assistant Salary: Grade 4, SCP 6-7 (£25,989 - £26,403 FTE). Pro rata salary £14,508.56 - £14,739.68 dependent on years of service.

Hours: 21 per week – Monday to Thursday 10.00am–2.00pm; Friday 10.00am–3.00pm, term time only (38 pupil weeks, plus 5 days when students are not in school).

Contract type: Permanent. Start date: 01.09.2026.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as part of the whole school team supporting teaching and learning of pupils.
  • Positive role‑model skills and behaviours, upholding the vision and values of the school.
  • Work under direction, instruction and supervision of the responsible teacher, in the classroom or across the school community, working with groups or individual pupils to assist in providing care, safety and welfare.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Evidenced qualifications and suitable references.
  • Completion of an enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
