The Governors of Brook Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about making a difference and helping to improve the learning opportunities for our children.
Salary: Grade 5 (£20,020 to £21,820.86 actual salary)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks)
Contract: Temporary until 31/08/2027 in the first instance
Closing date: Sunday 7 June 2026

Qualifications
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Has experience supporting pupils within the KS1/EYFS curriculum, including literacy and numeracy
- Is confident working with whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils
- Has experience working with children with additional needs, including those presenting challenging behaviours
- Has First Aid training (or is willing to undertake training)
- Demonstrates strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, alongside effective communication skills
- Has the ability to build positive relationships to support all children in meeting their goals and reaching their full potential
- Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and the overall well-being of all pupils
- Is resilient and passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and mental well-being of young people
- Is dedicated, creative, reflective, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
- Works effectively as part of a team and actively supports teaching staff to raise standards
- Enjoys working with children and strives for excellence and engagement in learning
- Provides a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organisational, communication, and time-management skills
- Is able to work with autonomy and take on responsibility where required

Responsibilities
- Providing support to pupils to achieve learning goals, e.g. leading phonic sessions.
- Providing support to pupils with additional needs/SEND.
- Assisting the teacher with the planning of learning activities.
- Assisting in maintaining classroom discipline through the implementation of the school’s behaviour management strategies.
- Assisting with the day-to-day routines of a classroom, including the preparation of resources.
- Assisting the teacher in monitoring pupils’ responses to learning activities and accurately recording achievement/progress as directed.
