Following a review of our Learning Support Department, we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed and talented teacher to lead and manage our learning hub resource. The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner with a proven track record of inclusive classroom practice.
The Learning Hub is a base in school that is utilised for a variety of reasons to support students integrating into school life. Students are generally placed in the learning hub for a short term placement; reasons have included students with an injury which prevents them from accessing the curriculum, students with significant language barriers to accessing a full curriculum, or for students where an adapted curriculum in a small group environment will support their emotional or learning needs.
The learning hub is staffed full time by a member of our learning support team; this role is to have oversight of the provision and to develop the provision moving forward. We are looking for an emerging leader with a pro‑active approach, excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting young people.
The role is varied and will require the versatility to work with all stakeholders, developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and external agencies. Candidates will contribute to teaching within their subject area, with time made available to lead and manage the learning hub.
