St John Paul II Multi Academy is a highly successful Catholic Multi Academy encompassing nine Primary Schools and two Secondary Schools. Our schools are based in Sutton Coldfield, Erdington and Aston, Kingstanding and Ladywood. The ethos of St John Paul II Multi Academy is Catholic and was founded by the Catholic Church to provide education for children of Catholic families. As a Catholic Multi Academy, we aim to provide a Catholic education for all our pupils. It is essential that the Catholic character of the school’s education be fully supported by all staff within the multi academy.

Abbey Catholic Primary School is a thriving, oversubscribed two-form entry primary school rooted in the Parish of St. Thomas and Edmund of Campion, affectionately known as Erdington Abbey. Our school’s mission, “Learning to Follow in the Footsteps of Jesus with our Friends, Family and Parish,” is at the heart of everything we do. This mission is lived out daily through our strong Catholic ethos and enriched by our distinctive Foundation curriculum, Building the Kingdom, which uniquely integrates Catholic Social Teaching into subjects like History, Geography, and Literacy. We nurture a warm, inclusive environment where pupils thrive spiritually, academically, and socially.

We are now seeking a passionate and dedicated KS2 Class Teacher to join our committed, faith‑driven school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality learning, fostering strong relationships and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, well‑planned lessons that meet the needs of all learners within a KS2 classroom.
  • Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
  • Create a positive, supportive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and leaders to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the Catholic ethos of the school and participate in the wider school community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
