Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:
- Working within the migration team, focusing on assistance for citizens approaching under the Homes for Ukraine and Ukraine Permission Extensions programs.
- Communicating with people who may be stressed or anxious, maintaining calm, understanding their issues, and providing appropriate advice within a legal framework.
- Accurately recording interactions in the IT system to prevent customer homelessness.
- Delivering expert housing advice and solutions, conducting thorough assessments and investigations.
- Making referrals to other local authorities and support agencies, delivering high quality case management.
- Making informed homeless decisions within statutory targets.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for people who:
- Have great communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Are accurate with an attention to detail.
- Are confident in their use of systems and databases.
- Have knowledge of working within social housing and homelessness; training is given for those with experience in another social or people‑facing field.
This contract is fixed term until 31 March 2027, working on a hybrid basis.
