Responsibilities:

The Housing Department are looking for a self‑motivated individual with a confident and professional approach with the desire to deliver a range of Neighbourhoods services within the Tenancy Services Section. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Neighbourhoods Team and will be expected to deliver a high quality professional service and be responsible for the delivery of Neighbourhood Services and conducting home tenancy visits as required.

You must have experience of frontline customer service – face‑to‑face interactions, telephone contact and letter writing, and experience of routine office administration systems is also essential. The post holder will also be expected to support and ensure an effective day‑to‑day administration service is delivered and be responsible for the front line day‑to‑day work and providing assistance to the Neighbourhood Officers.

You must be able to undertake a wide range of tasks in respect of the Council’s Housing Stock, including taking front‑line telephone calls and providing Reception cover. You must have the ability to use Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You must also be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be able to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations. You will ideally have relevant knowledge and awareness of the issues affecting vulnerable people and have an awareness and understanding of sustaining tenancies with the needs of a diverse community.

Qualifications:

You must hold GCSE’s in Mathematics and English at Grade C or above or equivalent vocational or academic experience.
