History Teacher - ECT

Salary: Main Scale 1. Full time permanent role. Required from 1st September 2026. Parkside Middle School is a thriving, vibrant middle (deemed secondary) school for pupils aged 9-13 in the heart of Bromsgrove. We are seeking a motivated and dedicated History Teacher who is passionate about igniting curiosity and fostering a love of History. As a History Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and encouraging pupils to think independently, critically and objectively about the world around them. You will help to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum which is supported by a programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities, that ensures that all students—regardless of background or ability—are inspired to achieve their full potential. You will work positively and collaboratively within the department and collectively develop and improve all aspects of teaching and learning in this area.

We are looking for an inspirational candidate who has had experience working in KS2 and/or KS3. The ideal candidate will be someone who sets high expectations for children, makes learning engaging and enjoyable, ensures that every child is valued and is supported to take opportunities to reach their potential. This is a fantastic opportunity, and the post would be suitable for early career teachers, who would be able to benefit from our successful and supportive ECT Induction Programme.
