Position
Level 3 Childcare Practitioner – maternity cover (Grade 5, SCP 7-11). The role involves supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities, working with small groups and individual children, including those with additional needs, and ensuring their safety, care and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Support learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and phonics
- Act as a key person for a group of children and work closely with parents and carers
- Contribute to planning, observations and daily nursery routines
- Attend 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (working pattern to be discussed)
Qualifications
- Recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare – a requirement for the role
- Good understanding of EYFS and phonics
- Strong teamwork, organisational and communication skills
- High expectations of self and others
- Ability to inspire and challenge children
- Experience in a nursery/EYFS environment
