The Role
We’re transforming how highways and public realm services are delivered across Herefordshire, bringing them back under direct Council control for the first time in years. From June 2026, we’ll be working in a new way that gives us greater flexibility, more local accountability, and a sharper focus on quality and value for money. You’ll join a team shaping the future of essential services that residents rely on every day, from maintaining roads and green spaces to keeping our streets clean and safe. In this role you will provide technical support to the Streetworks team in managing the network across Herefordshire. The main focuses will be on processing Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders and other applications, invoicing and resolving aged debt, and administering routine and defect follow up inspections, essential to the effective delivery of this technical service.
About You
- Hold GCSE Maths and English qualifications
- Have effective experience of Office 365 (incl. Teams, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Be able to organise a variety of different workstreams through prioritising and taking a methodical approach to tasks
- Be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
