Herefordshire Council seeks a highly motivated and organised Senior Paralegal (Litigation). The successful candidate will support a small team of lawyers in a variety of matters, primarily civil litigation, regulatory prosecutions and employment law. Excellent client‑care skills and a commitment to high‑quality service are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct substantive legal work including research, drafting legal documents and witness statements.
- Prepare bundles and coordinate procedural work with Council departments.
- Interview witnesses and manage large numbers of client instructions.
- Work closely with the legal team to problem‑solve complex cases.
Qualifications:
- Experience within a law firm or in‑house legal team; litigation experience desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
