Herefordshire Council seeks a highly motivated and organised Senior Paralegal (Litigation). The successful candidate will support a small team of lawyers in a variety of matters, primarily civil litigation, regulatory prosecutions and employment law. Excellent client‑care skills and a commitment to high‑quality service are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct substantive legal work including research, drafting legal documents and witness statements.
  • Prepare bundles and coordinate procedural work with Council departments.
  • Interview witnesses and manage large numbers of client instructions.
  • Work closely with the legal team to problem‑solve complex cases.

Qualifications:

  • Experience within a law firm or in‑house legal team; litigation experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of £32,061 to £36,363 dependent on experience.
