About the Role
- Develop and deliver strategic transportation strategies and policies.
- Lead local and regional rail and bus strategy and policy development.
- Secure transport funding and commission and manage projects.
- Engage with communities and stakeholders to ensure transport solutions are inclusive and effective.
- Tackle key challenges, from rural connectivity to modernising urban infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent, ideally in transport or planning.
- Sound understanding of current transport policy and legislation, sustainable transport initiatives, and transportation planning methods.
- Experience in developing policy and strategy for all modes of transport, with knowledge of statutory requirements and national policy context.
