A vibrant social work opportunity with Herefordshire Community Wellbeing, Herefordshire Council. Ready to make an extraordinary impact? We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated Social Workers to join a welcoming and supportive team in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take on a varied range of adult social work tasks, including Care Act Assessments, person-centred support planning, Mental Capacity Assessments, and Section 42 Enquiries.
  • Apply experience with diverse adult populations (physical and learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults).
  • Use a strength-based approach to empower individuals and promote independence.
  • Engage in crucial CHC and s117 work to ensure seamless support.
  • Work in a supportive culture with regular supervision and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Social Worker with Social Work England and a qualifying degree.
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation and its real-world impact.
  • Interest in pursuing qualifications such as Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with external agencies to build strong partnerships.
  • Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel across the county.
