We are seeking a highly organised, professional and resilient Headteacher’s PA to provide high level administrative and organisational support. The role is uniquely positioned liaising between the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, governors, staff, students, parents and external partners and stakeholders to ensure the smooth and effective day to day running of the school. This includes providing flexible support to colleagues in other areas when operational needs or unforeseen circumstances arise.

The role requires excellent communication skills, flexibility and the ability to manage sensitive matters with confidence and integrity.

Qualifications:
  • A high level of interpersonal skills including self‑confidence, tact and emotional intelligence to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Genuine desire to work with young people and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience in an educational setting is desirable.

Working hours will be 37 hours per week over 5 days, based on 8.15am‑3.55pm Monday and 8.15am‑4.25pm Tuesday‑Friday, with some flexibility on start and finish times. The post is term time (38 weeks) plus 5 staff learning days and 1 additional week during school holidays, equalling 40 weeks per annum.

Starting salary for a full‑time post at Band G is within the range £28,598 to £31,537 depending on experience and qualifications. Actual salary based on hours and weeks worked is calculated at £25,408 to £28,019 subject to any continuous service.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is therefore subject to an Enhanced DBS and requires a children’s barred list check.
