Malvern Wells CE Primary School is seeking to recruit a reliable and motivated Catering Manager to oversee the daily service of school meals. The successful candidate will ensure meals are served safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent hygiene, food safety, and health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive meals delivered by the external catering provider
- Prepare the kitchen and lunch hall for service
- Serve meals to pupils in a friendly and efficient manner
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
- Complete daily food safety and operational checks
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH regulations
- Carry out regular risk assessments in the kitchen and lunch hall
- Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report any faults promptly
- Participate in relevant training and development activities
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working in a catering or food service environment (desirable)
- A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- A positive, professional attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
- Ability to communicate clearly in spoken English
