Malvern Wells CE Primary School is seeking to recruit a reliable and motivated Catering Manager to oversee the daily service of school meals. The successful candidate will ensure meals are served safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent hygiene, food safety, and health and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive meals delivered by the external catering provider
  • Prepare the kitchen and lunch hall for service
  • Serve meals to pupils in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
  • Complete daily food safety and operational checks
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH regulations
  • Carry out regular risk assessments in the kitchen and lunch hall
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report any faults promptly
  • Participate in relevant training and development activities

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience working in a catering or food service environment (desirable)
  • A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • A positive, professional attitude and good communication skills
