Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant, 32.5 Hours per week – Term Time Only – Permanent (Monday‑Friday). Other working patterns may be considered. Start date: 1st September 2026.

Responsibilities:
- Translate the unspoken using a sensory and trauma‑informed approach, personalised communication strategies and creative tech to give every child a voice.
- Celebrate firsts – support children in making eye contact, sharing resources, mastering new skills.
- Work alongside a supportive team of experts, sharing laughs and celebrating every victory.
- Support pupils on the autistic spectrum and with other diagnosed special educational needs.
- Follow and implement key information such as Relational Support Plans, Sensory Differences Profiles, Individual Pupil Risk Assessments and Pupil Passports.
- Support pupils with a trauma‑informed approach.
- Be flexible to meet school needs.
- Use own initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with pupils and colleagues.
- Take ownership of tasks.
- Support learning of small groups of students.
- With training, deliver Read, Write, Inc. phonics and writing to a small group.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Desire to work with pupils on the autistic spectrum.
- Willingness to learn more about Autism and other diagnosed SEN.
- Recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification and GCSE Maths and English at Level 4 or above (or equivalent).
- Commitment to supporting children and young people with special needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding pupils (subject to DBS and other checks).
- Fluent English.
