About the Role
Family Solutions Team Manager – a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, hybrid working, full time (37 hours per week). You will lead the Family Solutions Team (FST), a specialist service within the Intervention Hub that delivers systemic, trauma‑informed and strengths‑based interventions to help families stay together, thrive and recover from adversity.
Responsibilities
- Prevent care entry and placement breakdowns by responding to emerging family crises, often within 24 hours.
- Support reunification from care and stabilise foster placements.
- Address child‑to‑parent violence using evidence‑based Non‑Violent Resistance (NVR) approaches.
- Guide a high‑quality, outcomes‑focused service, collaborating with Social Care teams and wider services across the Trust.
- Supervise, develop and manage team performance, ensuring professional and compassionate support for families.
Qualifications
- A suitable professional qualification, with strong leadership experience.
- Knowledge of relationship‑based and systemic family interventions.
- Confidence in crisis response, case planning and complex family dynamics.
- Skilled in supervision, development and performance management.
- Passionate about family‑led practice and reducing care escalation.
- Strong communication and partnership working abilities.
- Creativity to further meet the needs of children and families.
