St. Martin’s CE Primary School is a Church of England primary school in Tipton, offering a warm, caring and inclusive ethos. We are looking to appoint a skilled, nurturing EYFS Learning Support Practitioner to join our team on a permanent basis. The role will be based within the Nursery setting, where high‑quality early learning and positive relationships are prioritised.

Responsibilities

  • Share our Christian ethos and school values and demonstrate these consistently in practice.
  • Use a secure understanding of the EYFS Framework to support learning.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including intimate care when required.
  • Facilitate learning through play and provide small‑group and 1:1 support.
  • Be calm, patient, caring, nurturing, flexible, proactive and an effective team member.
  • Maintain high expectations of yourself and others.

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant EYFS qualification (e.g. Level 3 Early Years or equivalent).
  • Have experience working within Early Years with knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
  • Experience supporting children with additional and complex needs.

Employment Details

  • Hours: 31.25 Hours per week, Term Time plus 1 week.
  • Grade: Grade D, SCP 9-17, (£27,254 – £31,022); Actual Salary £20,539 – £23,984 p.a.
  • Location: St Martin’s CE Primary School, Lower Church Ln, Tipton DY4 7PG.
  • Post commencement: 01st September 2026.
  • Closing date: Thursday 7th May 2026.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check.
