We are seeking a Quality & Compliance Officer with recent experience working in a benefits environment to join our small, dedicated Quality and Improvement Team. In this role, you will support the Principal Quality and Improvement Officer with a range of key activities, including:
- Completing the Housing Benefit subsidy audit
- Carrying out quality checks within the Benefits Processing Team on Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support assessments
- Providing assistance in determining the eligibility and rental charges on Exempt and Supported Accommodation schemes
- Identifying training needs
- Highlighting areas of concern and contributing to continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant Housing Benefit legislation and regulations
- Understanding of Local Council Tax Support policies
- Educated to GCSE level, with grades A–C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English OR experience in a Welfare Support environment that allows you to carry out the full range of duties.
- Experience using Civica Open Revenues (desirable)
