Responsibilities

• Support children with their learning, ensuring they reach their full potential.
• Deliver tailored support, including high‑quality phonic sessions using Little Wandle.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to provide support for children with additional needs.
• Play a vital role in supporting the learning and achievement of vulnerable groups, initially within Key Stage 2.

Qualifications

• Appropriate literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience delivering high quality phonic sessions (Little Wandle).
• Relevant NVQ3 or equivalent qualification.
• Prior paid experience in a primary school setting as part of a Learning Support team.
• Highly professional, adaptable and child‑centred.
• Experience working in urban primary schools (e.g., Sandwell).
• Training: First Aid, Little Wandle, WellComm, Food Hygiene. A forest school leader qualification would be advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Working Hours & Conditions

Full Time (32.5 hours) – 8:45 – 3:45pm each day. Permanent post.

Salary

Band D 9–17 FTE £27,254 – £31,022 (Actual Pro‑rata Salary £21,131 – £24,628)
