Engagement Officer – Sandwell Community School

Sandwell Community School (SIPS) is an Alternative Provision multi-site school serving the Sandwell area.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Contribute to safeguarding in accordance with the agreed policy.
  • Pass an enhanced DBS clearance, including a Children’s Barring List Check. The role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
  • Meet the requirement of enhanced DBS check, withstanding Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; must speak fluent and spoken English.
  • Online Search will be undertaken on shortlisted candidates; candidates may discuss any concerns during the interview.

Working Conditions

  • Hours: 37 hrs per week, Term time plus 5 days.
  • Grade: Grade E, SCP 18‑25 (£31,537‑£36,363 p.a.) – Actual Salary £28,262‑£33,565 p.a.
  • Location: All SCS Sites – West Bromwich Centre, Westminster Rd, West Bromwich, B71 2JN; Wednesbury Centre, Hydes Lane, Wednesbury, WS10 0DR; Tividale Centre, Darbys Hill Road, Tividale, B69 1SG; Smethwick Centre, Holly Lane, Smethwick, B67 7JB.
