Temporary role for up to 3 years. We are looking for someone who is self‑motivated, enthusiastic, has strong interpersonal skills and the desire to make a positive contribution to our service and the wider community. As part of the Leisure Facilities Team at North Warwickshire Borough Council, you will be working as a member of the Coleshill Leisure Centre Team, and will play a crucial role in the development of this busy and constantly progressing leisure facility.
Location: Coleshill Leisure Centre, North Warwickshire Borough Council
Salary: £26,403 – £28,142 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (3 week rota). Shift work including evenings and weekends.
Key Tasks:
- Programme development
- Customer care
- Staff management
- Health and safety management
- Managing the day‑to‑day operations of the centre
Qualifications and Experience:
- You must be confident in managing diverse situations
- Experience supervising staff
- Hold a full first‑aid certificate
- Understanding of the leisure industry and the principles of leisure operations would be an advantage
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Must hold a Level 2 Gym Instructors qualification (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards it within six months
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check, including an Enhanced Disclosure.
