We are looking to recruit a talented Street Scene Operative – Level 1 (Grade 4) to work in our Street Scene team, on a permanent full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, dedicated team who are on a mission to deliver the best customer-focused street cleansing and grounds maintenance services, in a modern, efficient and effective way.
Street Scene now incorporates both street cleansing and grounds maintenance. A job opportunity has arisen to join our front-line services around the borough carrying out primarily street cleansing operations assisting a team undertaking litter picking duties, cutting back, cleansing gateways into the borough, cleansing hot-spot areas, and removing general detritus within a team of operatives in a 3.5 tipper vehicle. Your task will predominantly be covering a scheduled route around the borough. You will be based at the Lister Road Depot.
Responsibilities- Carry out street cleansing operations and litter picking duties.
- Cut back vegetation and cleanse gateways into the borough.
- Cleanse hot-spot areas and remove general detritus from designated routes.
- Operate a 3.5 tipper vehicle as part of a team of operatives.
- Follow a scheduled route and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
