Overview

This role contributes to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of young people aged 8-18 with complex needs, working in partnership with families and other professionals. In the absence of the Manager/Deputy, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the home.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and emotional care for young people in a residential setting.
• Support staff development by providing supervision, support, appraisal, training and diploma assessment.
• Contribute to management of information and planning, coordination, and implementation of projects for the home and its residents.
• Work shifts, including sleeping in and weekend work, maintaining flexibility to meet service needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Level 4 Diploma in Residential Care or equivalent (or comparable experience).
• Experience as a Senior Residential Childcare Worker.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups.

Working Conditions & Requirements

Hours: 37 per week. Salary: Grade 8. Full‑time, onsite. Medical clearance and enhanced DBS check required.

The role requires willingness to work flexible shifts, including sleeping in and weekend work.
