A position has become available within the discrete SEND department for a 0.5 Horticulture & Conservation Specialist Lecturer. The role involves delivering specialist training in horticulture and conservation skills, with personal tutor pastoral responsibilities.
Key Requirements
- A passion for inclusive teaching and positive outcomes for young people with SEND.
- Qualifications and/or experience in teaching in discrete or specialist provision.
- Qualifications and/or experience in horticulture and conservation.
- Ideally have a teaching qualification, e.g. PTTLS.
- Experience of teaching and supporting young people.
- A calm and empathic approach to students, with experience of using adaptive teaching methods.
- The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders such as professionals, parents, and support services.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and children and adults barred list checks where the applicant will be employed in a regulated activity.
