18 Tipton Road provides a safe, nurturing, caring and stimulating environment for young people aged between 8 and 18 years who have complex needs and may be experiencing a range of difficulties including physical, sensory and moderate to severe learning disabilities or complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Under the supervision of a senior member of staff, contribute to all aspects of the physical, emotional and personal care of the child(ren) to promote their welfare, whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals. In the absence of a senior member of staff, be responsible for the home.
Responsibilities
- Work with children and young people with complex needs, providing care and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Promote welfare, safeguarding and well-being of children and young people.
- Communicate effectively with families and other professionals to support the child(ren)’s development and safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in residential childcare or related settings preferred.
- Flexible and responsive to the needs of the home and residents.
- Right to work in the UK; documentation to prove eligibility required.
- Postholders may be subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.
