Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Principal Health & Safety Officer to join a respected team of health and safety professionals. You will provide a comprehensive and valued health and safety advisory service for the Council, offering practical advice for managers, carrying out inspections and audits, running training courses, investigating accidents, and assisting with the development of health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements include:

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent level 6 qualification) or higher
  • Previous health and safety experience, preferably in a multi-disciplinary organisation or similar environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in construction, maintenance, facilities management, and housing environments is of particular interest

This is an agile working role, allowing you to have a base at one of our office locations within Dudley Borough while also having the ability to work from home part of the week. We offer a range of benefits including flexible working and paid development opportunities.

You must be willing to undergo a DBS check, possess a valid driving licence, and have access to your own transport.
