About the Role

Elements Multi Academy Trust and Jesson’s CE Primary School are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
  • A good standard of education including English & maths (GCSE/Level 2)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working within a classroom setting with primary‑aged pupils
  • Excellent behaviour‑management skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and undertake work in line with the Higher Level Teaching Assistants Standards
  • Contribute to the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning activities and support programmes to individual pupils or groups
  • Deliver and plan lessons for groups or whole classes
  • Support the class teacher(s) within the school
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring equal opportunities to learn and develop
  • Assist pupils with academic, social, and personal development
  • Apply behaviour‑management strategies in line with school policy to create a purposeful learning environment
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
