About the Role
Elements Multi Academy Trust and Jesson’s CE Primary School are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school.
Qualifications
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- A good standard of education including English & maths (GCSE/Level 2)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working within a classroom setting with primary‑aged pupils
- Excellent behaviour‑management skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and undertake work in line with the Higher Level Teaching Assistants Standards
- Contribute to the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning activities and support programmes to individual pupils or groups
- Deliver and plan lessons for groups or whole classes
- Support the class teacher(s) within the school
- Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring equal opportunities to learn and develop
- Assist pupils with academic, social, and personal development
- Apply behaviour‑management strategies in line with school policy to create a purposeful learning environment
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
