Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship

As a Customer Service Apprentice, you will be part of the front-line team supporting residents, partner agencies and colleagues across the Housing Service.

You will develop valuable administrative, communication and customer service skills while receiving on-the-job training and support from experienced professionals.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Answering telephone enquiries and taking messages.
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents and partner agencies.
  • Supporting the team with administrative tasks including letters, appointments and record keeping.
  • Updating and maintaining case management systems.
  • Processing and recording homelessness approaches.
  • Signposting customers to appropriate services and support.
  • Collecting and recording information for performance monitoring and government returns.
  • Working closely with Housing Advice Assistants and other service areas.

We are seeking someone who

  • Has a genuine interest in customer service.
  • Is willing to undertake a Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship.
  • Has strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Is organised, reliable and committed to providing high-quality service.
  • Demonstrates empathy, respect and understanding when dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Is keen to learn, develop new skills and build a career in public service
