The Link academy are looking for a Cleaner to join our team and help ensure our school provides a clean, welcoming and safe setting for learners, staff and visitors.
Key responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties to a high standard, safely disposing of waste, replenishing supplies, maintaining cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
You will also report maintenance issues, support the upkeep of cleaning stores, and assist in covering for colleagues when required.
We have two roles available - 15 hours per week / All year round / £10,52.43 per year / 3.15pm to 6.15pm and 16.25 hours per week / All Year round / £10,890.14 per year / 3.15pm to 6.30pm.
Annual leave for both roles is to be taken during periods of school closure.
The Link Academy was praised by Ofsted in May 2026 as an "ambitious and inclusive school" where "pupils flourish." Inspectors highlighted the academy's calm, respectful and supportive environment, noting that pupils feel safe, demonstrate excellent attitudes to learning and benefit from strong pastoral care.
The school achieved Strong judgements in attendance and behaviour, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing, with achievement, curriculum and teaching meeting the Expected standard.
Achieving four Strong judgements under Ofsted's new inspection framework is a significant accomplishment and places the academy among a small number of schools in the region to achieve such recognition.
