Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a dedicated full‑time permanent Business Support Officer to join the Children in Care team. The role supports social workers and their manager in maintaining children's files and records, and in supporting service needs. Ideal candidates have a keen eye for detail, confidence in Microsoft Office, and experience in a similar environment or transferable skills.

Responsibilities

  • Process passports, birth certificates and national insurance applications
  • Ensure compliance with health check requirements
  • Take and manage meeting notes
  • Manage the team mailbox
  • Operate telephony systems

Working Conditions

Location: Cable Plaza, Waterfront. Hours: 37 per week. Working in office 3+ days a week (pro‑rata) or full‑time onsite.

Qualifications

Attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and previous experience in a similar environment or transferable skills.
