West Coventry Academy is a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are looking for a skilled and proactive DT Technician to join our Technology Department. This role provides practical support for teaching staff, ensuring lessons run smoothly, resources are prepared, and equipment is safe and well‑maintained.

Hours: 37 hours per week, term time only

Start date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare teaching aids, materials, and samples for lessons and examinations.
  • Clear away and organise materials after lessons.
  • Support open evenings, exhibitions, and other school events.
  • Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinate general upkeep of departmental equipment.
  • Arrange repairs with external agencies as needed.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely, including circular saws, drills, and hand tools (subject to training and authorisation).
  • Perform safety checks and ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
