This part‑time role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive, close‑knit team that places children’s wellbeing, relationships and learning at the heart of everything we do. We strongly believe that children should be active participants in their own learning journey and recognise that young children thrive through a creative, playful approach. Teachers with an Early Years background are very welcome to apply. An understanding of continuous provision would be particularly valued as we are on a whole‑school journey to embedding continuous provision across Key Stage 1.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Key Stage 1 class, delivering creative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support both academic progress and personal development. The role includes working closely with colleagues to ensure consistency, high quality provision and a positive experience for all pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in Key Stage One.
  • Has a warm, nurturing and child‑centred approach.
  • Understands the importance of play, creativity and continuous provision in supporting young learners.
  • Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Is reflective, flexible and committed to inclusive practice.
  • Works well as part of a supportive team.

We offer:

  • A welcoming, friendly and supportive staff team.
  • Happy, enthusiastic children who are eager to learn.
  • A caring school community where every child is known and valued.
  • A clear part‑time working pattern that supports work–life balance.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers must share this commitment. Shortlisted candidates will undergo references, an online check, and a Criminal Record Self‑Disclosure. Additional checks include enhanced DBS, Teacher Prohibition List, overseas checks where applicable, proof of qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right‑to‑work checks, and for those working with children under five or under eight in wraparound care, Childcare Disqualification checks. It is an offence to apply for any paid role in a school if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
