St Laurence's CE Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our school from September 2026. Situated in the heart of the village, our setting is known for its strong community links, supportive staff team, and wonderful children who make every day joyful. About the Role
- Support learning as a Teaching Assistant sometimes with named individuals or small groups.
- Work on targets stated on the EHCP as appropriate.
- Provide support to individuals and groups during their sessions to enable them to access their learning whilst monitoring progress and dealing with challenges as they arise.
- Contribute to the implementation of effective personal and social skills development within clear boundaries and reinforcing positive aspects of behaviour.
- Develop positive relationships with parents, carers and families by taking a partnership approach, maintaining and sharing accurate information where appropriate.
- Model and promote our Christian values in daily practice.

Qualifications Required
- Teaching Assistant Level 2 or comparable qualification.
- GCSEs grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) desirable in Maths and English.

Hours
30.25 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8:45 am to 3:20 pm. Term-time only – Fixed-Term basis.
Pay
TA1 (morning) NJC D4-5 hourly rate ranging from £13.05 to £13.26; TA2 (afternoon) NJC F7-10 hourly rate ranging from £13.68 to £14.58, and benefiting from school hours and Local Authority pension.
