Exhall Grange Specialist School is a 4-19 maintained school that provides a nurturing environment and meets the needs of children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, social, emotional, mental health and physical difficulties.
Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint Level 2 Teaching Assistants from September 2026 to work with a diverse cohort of pupils across our school community, from Early Years Foundation Stage to Post 16.
Key Qualifications
- A passion for supporting pupils to learn to the best of their ability.
- A recognised and relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent knowledge, experience and skills.
- At least GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade A–C.
- Good knowledge and understanding of SEND and areas of the curriculum.
- Previous experience of TA work.
- Good communication and listening skills, and ability to present information verbally and in writing.
Salary and Working Hours
The salary range for this position is £28,598–£31,022 full‑time equivalent, equating to £21,606–£23,437 per annum for 32.5 hours per week including 5 training days. Working day is 08:50–15:40 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 08:50–16:40 Thursday.
