About The Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant ERP to work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO/ERP Lead to plan, deliver and evaluate high‑quality learning for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) placed in the ERP, and to facilitate purposeful inclusion in mainstream lessons.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of inclusion / SEND with particular expertise in language and communication
- Recent experience of working with young people either in a school setting, as a parent, or involvement in voluntary work such as a youth group, cubs, brownie or similar organisation
- Administrative skills including experience of using a range of computer packages, navigating software and operating Microsoft Office
- The skills to analyse and report on data; the ability to work in a challenging environment and work under pressure and handle situations with patience and sensitivity
- Excellent communication skills including the confidence to work with small groups of students in a teaching environment
All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
