We are looking to recruit an Administrator to support as Sixth Form Learning Mentor and Pupil services.

Responsibilities

The Sixth Form Learning Mentor will play a key role in supporting students’ academic progress and personal development. They will supervise independent study periods, guide students in effective study skills, monitor attendance and engagement and provide mentoring to help students overcome barriers to learning. They will work closely with the Sixth Form team to deliver high‑quality pastoral support, maintain accurate records, communicate with parents and staff, and contribute to creating a positive, purposeful environment where every student can thrive.

Pupil services is a key role based in the main school office supporting our senior school students. They are the first point of contact for pupils helping with lost property and timetables. Pupil services also complete afternoon registration and updates isams. They will provide a friendly and helpful hub for all members of the Bablake community.

All members of the administration team are expected to carry out a variety of shared general administration tasks including email management, filing, photocopying, supporting staff in the preparation for and facilitating meetings as well as taking responsibility for specific tasks. These include the school calendar, managing staff training records and the organisation of the co-curricular programme.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in an office/administration environment is essential and school-based experience would be highly desirable although full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills with a calm professional and personable manner are essential.
  • Ability to relate to all staff and pupils within the school environment.
  • Computer literate and able to work independently, make decisions and show initiative in line with established processes and policies.
  • Ability to plan and organise own work and cope with interruptions and changing priorities.
