West Coventry Academy is seeking an Academic Nurture Lead to support student transition from primary to secondary and from secondary to Post-16. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and ensuring all students – particularly the most vulnerable – are supported to succeed academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and act as a role model.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support personalised learning, behaviour and wellbeing plans.
- Lead and support transition across KS2–KS3 and KS4–KS5.
- Identify and support vulnerable or disengaged students.
- Monitor attendance, progress and destinations, taking action where needed.
- Work closely with parents, staff and external agencies (including CAMHS) to improve outcomes.
- Support behaviour management and respond effectively to incidents.
- Contribute to transition events, open evenings and enrichment activities.
