Overview
Cheadle Primary School is seeking a passionate and experienced Clerical Assistant to join our dedicated team and support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for our pupils. This is a permanent, term-time position with 25 hours per week (8am – 1pm, Monday – Friday). The salary is pro rata £14,323 (FTE £24,413, Grade 1 point 2). Start date: 3 November 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
About the Role
As a Clerical Assistant, you’ll provide essential support to the school’s administration and front office. Working under the direction of senior staff, your responsibilities will include:
- Handling reception duties: greeting visitors and answering routine calls.
- Supporting pupil welfare and liaising with parents and external agencies.
- Performing routine clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, emailing, and record keeping.
- Maintaining manual and computerised information systems.
- Supporting with basic finance tasks such as ordering.
- Assisting with basic first aid.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and friendly front-desk reception support.
- Play a part in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children as part of the school team.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and data management.
- Support classroom and administrative operations to help learning environments.
