The Jane Lane School is a thriving special school based in Walsall catering for 5 - 16 year olds with MLD/Complex Needs and close links with Castle School. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class Teacher. We will consider Early Career Teachers.
Requirements:
- Create a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment for all pupils;
- Assess pupils’ abilities and needs;
- Use and review planning to deliver a comprehensive curriculum;
- Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual pupils' needs;
- Give instructions, using techniques appropriate to the pupils' needs;
- Record and evaluate pupils' progress;
- Supervise pupils in the classroom and maintain discipline;
- Liaise with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists;
- Update and maintain pupils' records to monitor development and progress;
- Discuss pupils' progress with parents and other teaching professionals.
