Coventry City Council is seeking a resilient and experienced residential manager to lead a team of carers in providing high-quality individualised care for children in need. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operational Leads to build an effective team and achieve outstanding outcomes for children living within the home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving forward improvements to exceed the requirements of the Children Homes Regulations 2015 and best practice standards identified within the SCCIF.
- Advocating for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery.
We welcome applications from established managers and deputy managers who have:
- Within the last 5 years, worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
- Worked for at least one year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and as such, appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
