The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 € per year.
The role is key within the CCBU payments section to support the team to ensure payments are made in a timely manner. The role requires the post holder to investigate and resolve queries, which may involve contacting providers and social care teams. The team makes approximately £12m in payments per month to the care providers on behalf of social care teams. Responsibilities include:
- To undertake payments and raise invoices for people accessing social care services.
- To check invoices and payment schedules for providers and deal with queries.
- To undertake financial assessments for people accessing social care services via telephone or in person and assist with all elements of income collection as required.
- Deal with customer/provider queries via telephone, in person or email as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience of working in a payments and/or charging service (ideally in the public sector), finance background essential.
- Ability to work with figures accurately and quickly.
- Ability to use and interrogate general ledger systems, and good use of Excel and Word.
- Ability to use computer systems.
- Experience of dealing with people and organisations in person, by telephone and in writing.
- To be able to take and receive calls and communicate confidently and professionally over the phone or in person with service users.
- Well-developed customer service skills.
- 4 GCSE's grade A to C including English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).
