Catering Manager - King Edward VI School, Lichfield
We are looking to appoint an experienced, self-motivated and committed Catering Manager with strong communication skills to join our friendly, experienced team. You would report to the Business Manager, but would also need to be able to inspire, supervise and develop a team of Catering Assistants.
Role details
- Location: King Edward VI School, Lichfield
- Hours: 6:30am – 14:30pm term-time; occasional out of hours for school events may be required
- Contract: 37 hours per week, Term-time plus 3 days; Permanent
- Salary: Grade 6 - £27,254 - £30,024 per annum (£14.13 per hour - £15.56 per hour) pro rata; Actual starting salary from £23,305 per annum

- Duties include: provide an effective, efficient and financially sustainable catering service; skilled cooking and preparation; stock control; keep organised records of monitoring, training, cleaning and supplier details to demonstrate compliance and effectiveness; ordering of all food and other commodities from designated suppliers; ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to Health & Safety, Hygiene Regulations and allergen control; lead catering for school events outside the canteen service; manage the Cashless Catering System across the canteens; review staff training needs and arrange appropriate training with our external Catering Consultant; knowledge of Government nutritional standards in schools; HACCP compliance
