We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Monkspath Primary School, 5 Farmhouse Way, Shirley, Solihull B90 4EH. £24,413 - £24,796 pro rata, per annum. Working 10 hours a week, Monday - Friday, Term Time only.
Responsibilities
- Assist with serving healthy award-winning meals.
- Basic food preparation.
- Prepare counters and the dining room for service.
- Operate the cashless till system.
- Perform cleaning duties.
- Maintain hygiene levels within the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willingness to complete and pass within first 12 months of service.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
Additional Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check with a barred list check for working with children.
- Fluency Duty – meet Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers.
