About the role
Our award‑winning school meals have never tasted better and we are proud to offer pupils across the borough a great range of delicious, healthy meals, using locally sourced, high quality ingredients. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Greswold Primary School, Buryfield Rd, Solihull B91 2AZ. Working 12.50 hours a week, Monday – Friday, Term Time only, this role could be ideal to fit in around your caring responsibilities.
You will assist with serving our healthy award‑winning meals, made from locally sourced, high quality ingredients, whilst ensuring levels of hygiene are maintained within the kitchen. Your duties will include basic food preparation, preparing counters and the dining room for service, operating the cashless till system, and cleaning duties.

Qualifications and Experience
- Level 2 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to complete and pass within the first 12 months.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self‑motivation.

- £24,413 – £24,796 pro‑rata per annum, 38.6 weeks per year (£6,991.39).
