Learning Community Trust – Wrekin View Primary & Nursery Trust is looking for a reliable and friendly Casual Minibus Driver to join our team, helping to provide safe and efficient transport for pupils across our group of primary schools: Wrekin View Primary, Allscott Meads Primary, Crudgington Primary and Lantern Academy. You’ll play a key role in supporting educational visits, sporting events, and daily transport needs.

Hours: as and when needed
Term time only
Salary: Grade 2, SCP 4 (£13.05 per hour)

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport pupils between schools and on trips
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and refuel vehicles as needed
  • Complete journey records for billing purposes
  • Support the school’s ethos and safeguarding policies

Requirements

  • A full driving licence with category D, D1, or PSV (essential if test passed after Jan 1997)
  • A commitment to pupil safety and wellbeing
  • Flexibility to travel between schools in the group

Information & Application Process

The Learning Community Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All post holders are subject to an enhanced DBS check (including a check on the children’s barred list) and an online search for the successful applicant. References will be checked following the learning community trust recruitment and selection process. In line with the Statutory Guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online check will be undertaken for all shortlisted candidates prior to the interview.
