Full-time, Permanent Experienced SEND Teacher & SENDCo (with TLR) Five Ways Primary School is seeking an inspiring, highly skilled and committed teacher to join our dedicated team and play a key role in shaping exceptional provision for pupils with significant and complex special educational needs. The school is a 3-form entry Primary School with 646 pupils and will require the teacher to begin from September 2026.
If you already hold the SENDCo National Professional Qualification (SENCo NPQ), you will be appointed as the designated SENDCo from September 2026. If you do not yet hold the qualification, the role offers a supported pathway to becoming our designated SENDCo from September 2027, and still includes the full TLR payment. Five Ways will fully fund and support the successful candidate to complete the SENDCo NPQ once appointed.
About the Role
From 2026-27: Teach in Key Stage 1 each morning. Approximately three afternoons per week dedicated to SEND leadership work alongside our Deputy Headteacher/current SENDCo, supporting SEND provision and monitoring progress across the school.
From 2027-28: Teach a class each morning (Key Stage to be agreed in liaison with Senior Leadership Team / needs of the school). Each afternoon, lead SEND across the school as the designated SENDCo.
You will drive the strategic development of SEND, working closely with colleagues, families and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the targeted support, inclusive teaching and personalised progression they deserve.
