Sandwell’s Fleet Services are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join their team as a Fleet Business Support Officer. This fast‑paced, front‑line role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an efficient, customer‑focused service reception. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving and processing all vehicles and plant items into workshops for servicing, repairs, and inspections.
- Handling and filing supplier invoices for payment approval.
- Managing the internal hire fleet to maximise vehicle utilisation, including arranging external hires when required.
- Coordinating accident damage reports and insurance claims.
Key requirements
- Driving licence category B (minimum).
- Educated to Level 2 or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy office.
- Experience responding to written correspondence.
- Experience working in a fleet/service reception environment.
